Purpose of Role
As a Planner with Flynn you will be responsible for the coordination and organization of construction projects, developing schedules, coordination of workers and resources, and the monitoring of project progression.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to create project plans that align with client expectations and project deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or roadblocks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials and resources.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and update project schedules accordingly.
- Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities.
- Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential conflicts or risks.
The Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in a construction related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or related role.
- Expert in construction scheduling software P6, Asta and Microsoft Project.
- Effective track record in Earned Value Methodology and scheduling for NEC contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
