Flynn Canada’s Automatics and Glazing Service Team in Halifax is hiring! We’re looking for an experienced Automatic Door Technician to join our growing team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience installing automatic doors, access systems, and low-voltage
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or service-based roles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift equipment and work in active job-site environments
- AAADM certification (highly preferable) to ensure proper setup, inspection, and safety compliance of automatic door systems
OTHER DETAILED REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE YOUR ABILITY TO:
- Responsible for on-site installation and repair of automatic doors, manual doors and glass units in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential settings
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on automatic door systems
- Provide high-quality customer service to our clients
- Perform new door installations, preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance
- Test door systems to ensure proper and safe operation
- Read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions
- Maintain service records and parts inventory
- Represent the company professionally at all job sites
- Maintain company vehicle, tools and property in an appropriate manner
- Maintain the parts inventory for your service vehicle
- Assist and instruct others in installing/servicing automatics
