For a candidate with a financial restructuring background, this is one of the most sought-after seats in the market.

Facts about the firm:

  • A genuinely global, independent advisory model with no lending balance sheet, meaning conflict-free advice and a steady pipeline of marquee debtor-side and creditor-side mandates.
  • London sits at the centre of the firm's EMEA restructuring activity, giving you exposure to the most complex cross-border and large-cap situations in the region.
  • A meritocratic, deal-intensive environment where Associates take real ownership and work directly with senior bankers and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a central role on live restructuring and distressed situations, on behalf of companies, creditors, shareholders and other stakeholders.
  • Build and own complex financial models, including liquidity, capital structure, recovery and valuation analyses.
  • Drive due diligence and analysis of distressed businesses, their capital structures and restructuring options.
  • Prepare client materials, restructuring proposals, term sheets and stakeholder presentations.
  • Support negotiations between companies, lenders, bondholders and other creditor groups.
  • Manage Analysts and coordinate workstreams across legal advisers, management teams and other parties.
  • Contribute to business development and the origination of new restructuring mandates.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong financial restructuring background gained in investment banking or restructuring advisory (debtor-side and/or creditor-side).
  • Typically around 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, at Associate level.
  • Excellent financial modelling, analytical and capital-structure skills.
  • A solid understanding of distressed situations, debt instruments and restructuring processes.
