Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution: Lead M&A processes from pitch to close including sell-side auctions, buy-side mandates, and cross-border deals.
- Financial Modelling: Build LBO models, merger models, DCF valuations, accretion/dilution analyses; conduct comps and precedent transactions.
- Due Diligence: Manage advisor workstreams (legal, financial, commercial, regulatory); interface with management teams and PE sponsors.
- Client Materials: Prepare CIMs, management presentations, IC memos, and pitch books.
- Sector Coverage: Develop expertise in biopharma, medtech, healthcare services, or healthtech; track M&A trends and build target lists.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- 2-4 years in healthcare M&A, healthcare IB, or healthcare-focused corporate development.
- Proven M&A execution experience from origination through close.
- Healthcare sector knowledge: Biopharma, medtech, services, or healthtech business models and value drivers.
- Advanced financial modelling (merger models, LBOs, biotech/pharma valuations).
- Strong academics (2:1+ from leading university); Finance, Economics, or Life Sciences degree.
- Excellent communication; ability to interact with C-suite executives and PE sponsors.
Highly Desirable
- Bulge bracket, elite boutique, or specialist healthcare bank experience.
- Mid-market M&A exposure ($50M-$1B+ EV).
- Understanding of biopharma licensing and FDA/EMA regulatory pathways.
- European languages (German, French).
- CFA/ACA qualifications.
- Life sciences background (PhD, MD, PharmD advantageous).
