Flying Start are looking for Apprentice Early Years Educators! We are currently recruiting for our Illogan, Redruth, Camborne and Cornwall College settings, for an August/September start date. We are looking to take on an Apprentice who can work in our busy nursery setting with our little ones, joining a team who are super passionate about teaching and inspiring our children.
You need to be:
- Reliable and enthusiastic with high levels of motivation
- Organised
- Display good communication skills, with other adults and most importantly with children!
- Able to work well within a team
- Passionate to work with children in the Early Years
- Caring and kind
You need to have:
- A basic level of education to include, GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (A-C) or above - If you do not have one of these, we may be able to offer functional skills training, so please do still apply
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills
Your core job will be:
- To support the delivery of an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
- To understand and work to all nursery policies and procedures and statutory guidance, to help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
- To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times for the children
We will support you by:
- Providing a laptop for you to complete your work on
- Giving you designated paid time each week (20% of your contracted hours) to support the completion of your training
- Ensuring you have an Assessor who you have a strong relationship with to enable you to progress
- Guiding and teaching you how to be an Early Years Educator!
- Moving you from an apprentice wage to living wage for your age when 25% complete on your qualification! This can be within 3-4 months!
