The Role
This is more than a traditional PA position. You will be a trusted partner to the Director of Education, playing a critical role in managing priorities, enabling effective decision-making, and ensuring the smooth running of a complex and fast-moving portfolio. A strong understanding of the education landscape is essential, whether gained through school based administrative roles, trust experience, teaching or leadership roles. Your insight will enable you to anticipate priorities, manage complexity, and provide high-quality support at a senior level. You will operate at the heart of our education strategy, working closely with school leaders and central colleagues across the partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a trusted confidant, handling complex and highly confidential information with discretion
- Proactively managing an evolving diary, ensuring priorities are clear and time is used strategically
- Preparing high-quality documentation, briefings, and correspondence to support decision-making
- Coordinating meetings, visits, and events across multiple schools, ensuring seamless delivery and follow-through
- Managing travel, logistics, and expenses efficiently
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, representing the Director with professionalism and clarity
- Anticipating needs, identifying potential pressures, and proactively providing solutions
Working Pattern
This is a full-time, office-based role working 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The role will require travel across our schools and partnership locations, in line with the needs of the Director of Education.

About You
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and resilient professional who can operate confidently at an executive level. You will:
- Bring experience of working within education, or a strong understanding of how schools and trusts operate
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Be highly relational, with the ability to build trust and credibility with a wide range of stakeholders
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, producing clear, professional documentation
- Be confident using a range of IT systems and digital tools to manage workflows and maximise efficiency
- Show strong judgement, discretion, and professionalism, particularly when handling sensitive information
- Have meticulous attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Be self-motivated, solutions-focused, and adaptable, able to anticipate needs and respond to changing priorities
