Due to continued growth in our business, we have a requirement for an AME (M2) to join our Team at our Peterborough, Ontario location.

General Accountability

A licensed AME is responsible for knowledge of piston, turbo prop, jet aircraft and the maintenance applications associated with them, including but not limited to repairs, modifications, and inspections on aircraft structures, systems, and equipment.

Specific Accountabilities

  1. Visually inspect, assess, and assist in repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, systems, and equipment.
  2. Remove, install, and functionally test aircraft components.
  3. Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaul.
  4. Remove aircraft control systems, check rigging, and re-assemble.
  5. Diagnostically troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action.
  6. Ensure that all maintenance activities are controlled on aircraft that are receiving maintenance within the company\'s facilities and that technical records are originated and retained with respect to all inspections and maintenance functions.
  7. Complete records of work done to sustain an accurate record system.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and written technical instructions.
  9. Must perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines.
  10. Perform work in a productive, diligent, careful, and safe manner.
  11. Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned.
  12. Work in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.
  13. Any other job-related duties assigned by department management.

Experience and Education Requirements

  1. Completion of secondary school is required.
  2. Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational/technical training in Aircraft Maintenance required.
  3. A.M.E. \"M\" Aircraft License (M2)
  4. At least 3 years of licensed aircraft maintenance experience is desirable.
  5. Experience or endorsements on Gulfstream, Bombardier CL300, CL600-605, CL850, BD700 Global aircraft is particularly desirable.

Skills/Abilities

  1. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  2. Good mobility, manual dexterity and physical condition to work in areas within the aircraft where access may be limited.
  3. Ability to maintain professional work habits at all times.
  4. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet research.
  5. Good administration, organization, and planning skills.
  6. Able to work both independently and within a team environment, tasks may be shared or reallocated daily.
  7. Must have flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules, including needs of the organization.
  8. Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective relationships.
  10. Ability to understand and follow direction with minimal supervision.
  11. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Working Hours

This is a full-time (FT) position where hours will change due to business operational needs and flexibility is required. At present, the standard hours of work are 6.30am to 6.30pm on a modified 4-day-on, 4-day-off rotation. Working hours are subject to change to meet operational requirements.

Working Conditions

  1. Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
  2. Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, noise, and materials which cause periods of discomfort.
  3. Frequent need to give concentrated close attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.
  4. Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
  5. Work in confined spaces and elevated heights when required.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation including 6% RRSP matching, 10% deferred compensation, 20% second-shift premium and Health/Medical/Dental/Life benefits to qualified and highly motivated candidates.
