We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Juniper networking solutions to lead a migration project to Aruba networking infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the migration from Juniper to Aruba, ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining optimal network performance, security, and reliability.
Remote support focusing on Juniper to Aruba migration. You will be working to migrate a slew of Juniper EX2200/2300’s to 2 switch Aruba 3810 Core [stack], and Aruba 2930 Edge switches, utilizing Aruba OS, NOT CX.
Includes day-to-day network tasks. There will be an onboarding process for the first week. It is assumed the engineer can manage their own time, as long as the activities are completed within the 20 hours per week and based on other dependencies, for example, other engineering resource availability for joint work or allocated downtimes.
Migration Planning:
- Assess the existing Juniper infrastructure and plan the migration.
- Develop a detailed migration plan with timelines and milestones.
Design and Implementation:
- Design the Aruba network architecture based on business requirements.
- Implement the new architecture, ensuring compatibility and integration.
Configuration and Optimization:
- Configure Aruba devices for performance, security, and efficiency.
- Optimize network settings and integrate solutions with broader IT initiatives.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies for the Aruba network.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Testing and Validation:
- Conduct thorough testing to validate Aruba network performance.
- Address and resolve issues identified during testing.
Documentation and Training:
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes.
- Provide training to team members and end-users on the new Aruba environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer with Juniper expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of Aruba networking technologies.
