Purpose of the role: Your primary focus will be to drive the strategic direction for our tech records team, customer group, airlines, and lessor markets, optimize asset management processes, and enhance both employee and customer experiences. You will design and implement solutions that contribute to business success and build a high-performing team to meet current and future customer needs.
- Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment
- Develop and execute a clear strategic vision for the team to deliver Technical Records Compliance, Digitalization, and Asset Management services, aligning with company and customer goals.
- Drive innovation in asset lifecycle management, optimizing processes for airlines, lessors, and MROs.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to integrate business objectives into the Digital Engineering Services Team framework.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize digital workflows and compliance processes.
- Product & Process Optimization
- Identify and implement digital solutions to improve efficiency in records management and compliance processes.
- Support product teams in designing data-driven solutions that enhance the customer experience.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team handling asset management, digital migration, end-of-lease transitions, daily records quality checks, and technical records compliance audits as per IATA standards.
- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Train and develop team members on regulatory compliance, digitalization processes, and quality control standards.
- Develop talent through training, mentorship, and skill-building initiatives within the team.
- Partner with the Training Manager to enhance the team’s technical and compliance capabilities.
- Process Improvement & Digital Solutions Integration
- Work with the digital solutions team to enhance automation and efficiency in records auditing and migration.
- Identify areas for workflow improvement and implement best practices for compliance and data management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in digital aviation solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for airline clients, MROs, and lessors regarding records compliance, digitalization, and records management.
- Ensure all digitalized technical records meet regulatory standards of EASA, FAA, and other authorities.
- Provide reports and insights to clients on compliance status, digital migration progress, and records quality performance.
- Optimize resource planning to align with project demands and future growth.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects and services provided.
- Ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery that meets regulatory and contractual obligations.
Who you will be working with: Collaboration is a key value and enabler of success in the business. Technical Managers, Team/Project Leads, External Clients (if required), Commercial, IT, HR, Finance & Operations Teams (if necessary).
Requirements
- Industry Experience: 7+ years in aviation technical records, asset management, technical services, with at least 2 years in team management roles. Expertise in asset lifecycle management, lease agreements, redelivery processes, and technical records compliance audits is essential.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in aircraft technical records, maintenance, and asset transition, with practical experience in on-site project management for lease return and/or aircraft acquisitions. Experience working on M&E systems like AMOS, Trax, Maintenix, etc. Prior experience with flydocs system is desirable.
- Leadership and Project Management: Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage projects focused on cost efficiency, process improvement, and quality assurance.
- Strategic and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset for managing asset performance and navigating complex negotiations.
- Power Skills: A customer-centric approach, exceptional collaboration skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership qualities.
