Overview
Purpose: Technical Records Engineer is responsible for accurately scanning & sorting a high volume of airline records in order to convert printed material into digital images to be uploaded through our digital platform. To initiate the process of auditing of the airline record.
Key Outcomes:
- Meeting project targets with regards to efficiency of completing the sorting and scanning of documents within timeline.
- Guarantee the integrity of the data being scanned and ensure the appropriate scanning settings are used to ensure right resolution and page orientation is 100% accurate.
- Quality check of scanned data vs. uploads to the platform, to ensure every record received is in the platform.
- Be an ambassador for Flydocs when interacting with customers and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring zero rework is required.
- Customer feedback on daily progress against scanning targets.
- Set scanner parameters as identified for each job to ensure accurate handling per customer specifications.
- Responsible for daily maintenance, including cleaning, of scanner to ensure image quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required.
- Meeting housekeeping expectations ensuring outstanding visual management of the work environment.
- Managing personal health and safety during the shipment and receiving of boxes (20-35 pounds).
- Audit incoming physical records for physical condition and raise discrepancies to Client as needed.
- File and store physical records to Client's specifications.
- Assist client with quarantining/lockdown of records as needed, under Client's guidance.
- Travel requirement for domestic onsite scanning projects.

Required:
- Minimum of a year’s records management administration experience.
- Microsoft suite (Excel and Word) / Adobe Acrobat Pro software proficiency.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer literacy.
Desirable:
- Experience within the aviation industry.
- Experience & knowledge of handling the aircraft maintenance documents/records.
- Added advantage of having experience in scanning records.
- Must have knowledge of scanning software (Capture Perfect, Capture One Pro etc.) to accomplish job duties.
- Knowledge of using FLYdocs software, but not mandatory.
