Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer (Building Structures) Location: London (Hybrid: 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home) Package: £65,000-£75,000, plus bonus, private healthcare, hybrid working and 7% employer pension contribution This highly-collaborative multi-discipline consultancy operates a decentralised model - radical autonomy without the corporate catch. They're seeking a Geotechnical lead to sit within the London Structural Engineering division. This is not a role for tunnel designers; it is for building-centric specialists who want to orchestrate geotechnical solutions for high-profile assets adjacent to critical infrastructure. Strategic Lead: You'll serve as the technical authority for geotechnics within a 35-person structures team, mentoring structural engineers in geotechnical fundamentals. High-Stakes Projects: Deliver asset protection and foundation solutions for a large film studio campus, Data Centres, and complex Grade II* listed refurbishments in London. Multidisciplinary Fusion: Work at the "round table" with structural and MEP peers to create combined, sustainable solutions. About you You'll have a solid background of working in London clay - including pile design and asset protection (railway/tunnel adjacency). Credentials: Chartered, or nearing PRI. Self-sufficiency is the baseline. Communication: High-agency personality. Able to present concepts to architects and clients with clarity. Culture: You reject the "shirt and tie" rigidity of traditional firms in favour of a casual, high-performance environment. The Package Salary: Up to £75,000 (Dependent on experience). Allowance: £5,000 Car/Travel Allowance Benefits: 7% Pension, Private Medical, Performance Bonus. Flexibility: Two fixed office days (Mon/Thu) to ensure team cohesion, with total autonomy over remaining hours.
