You’ll be responsible for providing a broad range of structural engineering services. You’ll be expected to work independently, with the guidance and support of the senior management team, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop your managerial skills and advance your career.
What you'll be doing:
- Act as lead or sole designer as appropriate to the size and complexity of the project, responsible for everything from outline schemes to detailed design and the production of technical deliverables.
- Carry out structural analysis and design in line with the Eurocode suite of design codes, ensuring designs are economical, sustainable, efficient, and buildable.
- Oversee the production of detailed design drawings.
- Check calculation packages, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables, ensuring compliance with our QA procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices within the team, actively contributing to their future development.
- Conduct surveys/inspections and produce high-quality technical reports on findings, with appropriate recommendations, presenting these to the client when needed.
- Carry out existing building assessments, often including scoping intrusive investigations on site.
- Make site visits during construction to resolve queries, monitor progress, and provide advice to contractors.
