We're currently recruiting for a Building Control and Safety Director position, a key strategic appointment within this organisation's growing Building & Real Estate team. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role where you’ll act as Principal Designer / PD Advisor across major, complex, and high-risk projects.
The Role
- Acting as Principal Designer / PD Advisor on large-scale developments
- Leading on design risk management and Building Safety Act compliance
- Advising clients at a strategic level on regulatory and compliance matters
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, regulators, and stakeholders
- Helping grow and shape a high-performing compliance function
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating as a Principal Designer or PD Advisor
- Strong knowledge of:
- Building Safety Act & Gateway process
- CDM Regulations
- Design risk management & statutory compliance
- Background delivering on complex / high-risk projects (HRBs a bonus)
- Confident working as a trusted advisor to senior clients
- Chartered (RICS / CABE or similar) preferred
