These are hybrid working roles with an expectation to attend the office one day per week (or as required).
We are seeking Building Control Surveyors who are registered with the Building Safety Regulator and have demonstrated their level of competence through an approved validation scheme, or are working towards validating their competence. The core focus of the role is to effectively deliver the Building Control function and contribute towards the objectives of the service.
We are looking for motivated and ambitious individuals who pride themselves on delivering a competitive, efficient and professional Building Control service.
You will assist in the prompt and efficient delivery of all aspects of the Building Control function in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022, the Building Act 1984, the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended) and associated legislation. You will also have due regard to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.

Essential qualifications/skills
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Building Control, Building Surveying, Construction, Structural Engineering, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
Registered with the Building Safety Regulator to at least Class 2 Building Inspector level, or actively working towards registration.
Desirable qualifications/skills
Corporate Membership of a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent.
