We are looking for an ambitious Senior Finance Associate to join us at a critical stage of growth. As we enter a stage of scaling rapidly, you will play a central role in keeping our financial systems tight, helping us move fast without breaking things. You will be hands-on with everything from FP&A to supplier contracts to investor reporting, collaborating closely with Operations, People, and Engineering. This role is based in our Kings Cross, London office and is 5-days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modelling.
- Act as a trusted partner to teams across the business, owning purchasing workflows, spend management, and vendor onboarding.
- Prepare high-quality materials for board meetings, investor updates, and financial reporting.
- Support statutory and regulatory compliance in the UK and US, working with external accountants where needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automating wherever possible to help us scale.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve financial visibility and operational efficiency (e.g. headcount reporting, capex tracking, cost optimisation).
Skills & Experience
- 5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or FP&A role.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; confident building, debugging, and owning financial models.
- Experience with Xero and tools like Pleo, Spendesk, Ramp, or similar.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented; you spot errors before others do.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and solutions-focused; you take initiative and make things better.
- Great communicator and confident working with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Understanding of equity, cap tables, and fundraising processes.
- Experience in a hardware company and fast-paced environment.
This is a rare opportunity for someone with the right mix of experience, ambition, and appetite for building. But it is not for everyone. You will thrive here if you:
- See the strategic advantage that working side-by-side in an office can bring. We are moving quickly, and tight feedback loops matter.
- Are excited to set aside the playbook in favour of systems that actually fit our stage. You are not afraid to experiment, streamline, and question what is "standard".
- Use ChatGPT multiple times a day. Whether it is drafting investor memos, cleaning up spreadsheets, or pressure-testing a model, you see AI as a force multiplier.
- Champion transparency and believe finance should not be a black box. You are excited to help others understand how our business runs and how their decisions impact the health of the business.
Compensation & Benefits
- £94,000 - £132,000 annual salary, depending on experience, skills, and location.
- Competitive stock options; you are not just part of the journey, you will own a piece of it.
- Work from our HQ in King's Cross, right in the middle of London's buzzing AI scene.
- Live within 45 minutes of the office? Perfect. Live within 20 minutes? We will add an extra location bonus to your salary.
- We offer visa sponsorship and full relocation support (UK and abroad), through a dedicated third-party provider who are on hand to make your move to London as seamless as possible.
- Full BUPA healthcare and dental cover, medical history disregarded.
- High-spec tech for everyone - M4 Macs as standard, M4 Pros for Engineers.
- Sony noise-cancelling headphones and ergonomic setups to keep you comfortable and focused.
- Personal company card to spend on tools that help you do your job - like ChatGPT Pro or anything else that boosts your workflow.
- Healthy, chef-cooked dinners in the office every night, with something for every diet and tastebud.
- Monthly off-site team socials.
- 25 days of paid holiday, plus all the UK bank holidays.
- Access to our in-house 3D printer for personal or work projects.
- Cycle2work scheme.
- Need a caffeine fix? We have got you covered with a tab at our favourite local coffee shop.
- We offer a pension plan and salary sacrifice options.
