Overview of the role:
As a People Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, delivery and management of people-focused initiatives across Flutter International. Reporting directly to a People Programme Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery of people and organizational development projects, spanning recruitment, retention, culture, learning & development, organizational design, and employee engagement programmes.
You will manage resources, schedules, budgets and stakeholders, ensuring projects adhere to Project Management best practices while delivering measurable business outcomes. You will drive cross-functional collaboration between HR, Operations, and business units, establishing governance frameworks and change management approaches that ensure successful programme embedment and adoption.
The People Project Manager has the authority to run people-focused projects on a day-to-day basis and will support the Programme Manager with project information, ensure the delivery of quality outputs within specified time and cost constraints, and realize the benefits defined in the business case.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end delivery of people initiatives, leading discovery, planning, build and launch phases
- Develop comprehensive project plans aligned to organizational strategy, incorporating timelines, milestones, resource requirements and financial budgets
- Leverage proven project management methodologies and Flutter's in-house frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
- Manage project scope, schedule and change requests, ensuring alignment to programme objectives and business priorities
- Apply risk and issue management disciplines, identifying mitigation strategies and contingency plans proactively
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across HR, business leaders, and employee populations
- Set up and govern well-defined communication channels for project updates, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels
- Partner closely with the Change Management team to design and implement change strategies that drive adoption and embedding of people initiatives
- Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns and gathering feedback to refine project delivery
- Provide regular reporting and status updates aligned to programme governance frameworks
- Work closely with HR, L&D, Recruitment, Organisational Development and Delivery teams across Flutter Group
- Align contributing teams through strong dependency management and proactive identification of blockers
- Facilitate complex, multi-disciplinary project teams through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring shared understanding of objectives and accountabilities
- Support colleagues and teams in unblocking impediments, working within your network to enable progress
- Develop and maintain project management artifacts including project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, and benefit tracking
- Monitor project performance against key metrics and KPIs, analysing successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Host lessons learned sessions, identify process improvements and share learnings to build organizational capability
- Measure and document the impact of people initiatives on engagement, retention, culture and organizational effectiveness
- Contribute to enhancement of project management frameworks and practices within the People function
What you’ll bring:
- Technical Expertise & Knowledge:
- Project Management Certification: PRINCE2 or PMP certification is required; Agile (Scrum Master) would be advantageous
- Project Management Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in project management, ideally with experience in people/HR transformation, organizational design, or change programmes
- Methodologies: Proficiency with waterfall and agile methodologies; comfortable adapting approach based on project requirements
- Tools & Systems: Working experience with project and change management tools including project tracking and reporting tools
- Planning & Scheduling: Strong planning techniques with the ability to bring together diverse groups to produce accurate, achievable timelines with clear milestones and checkpoints
- Behavioral Skills & Leadership Attributes:
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex people-related initiatives to both technical and non-technical audiences; fluent in business English
- Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in building trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels; approachable, open-minded, and collaborative in approach
- Leadership & Influence: Ability to influence and motivate teams across multiple functions; demonstrated capability in leading matrix teams and managing virtual/remote team members
- Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying project impediments and blockers, addressing them in a timely and effective manner; innovative and pragmatic "can-do" attitude
- Resilience & Adaptability: Able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple competing priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and business strategy

- Experience & Sector Knowledge:
- Programme Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering people-focused or organizational transformation programmes, ideally including recruitment scaling, culture change, organizational restructuring, or L&D initiatives
- Multi-disciplinary Teams: Proven ability working with cross-functional teams from HR, Operations, Technology, Finance and business units
- Complex Environments: Experience navigating federated operating models, matrix organizations, or large-scale organizational change
- Remote/Virtual Delivery: Experience managing partner teams and stakeholders in remote or virtual environments
- iGaming/Betting Industry: Understanding of the iGaming sector and experience in fast-paced, high-growth business environments is a plus
