We are seeking a keen and detail-oriented Financial Analyst US Reporting (Graduate) to join our finance team. The Financial Analyst US Reporting will be a key team player assisting in the preparation of the Group’s SEC financial quarterly and annual reports and delivering financial and management information to internal parties. The successful candidate will be a proactive and driven individual with a growth mind, with strong interest in technical accounting and SEC reporting and the ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Accounting knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Assisting with the preparation of various sections within quarterly and annual reports in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual report in accordance with IFRS in association with other key finance colleagues.
  • Supporting month-end close within Group deadlines for assigned channels of the Group Reporting function, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Working with management to document accounting processes and internal controls ensuring they are in line with SEC requirements.
  • Assisting with the preparation of other external financial reports, as needed.
  • Supporting divisional finance teams, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams with ad-hoc accounting, analytical and financial reporting issues.
  • Maintaining compliance with SOX requirements including assisting in certain tasks to comply with SOX controls, as needed.

In addition to your specific responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate with the wider finance function to ensure accurate and timely accounting information is produced in accordance with Group requirements.
  • Assist in the production of Budgets/Forecasts.
  • Gain exposure to technical accounting treatment of key account balances in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

How you’ll do it:

  • Must hold a recognised accounting/finance degree.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive adherence to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior accounting/financial reporting experience is preferred.
  • Experience of Oracle ERP or other similar financial systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
