Overview of the role:
We’re looking for a Midweight Designer to join our in-house creative team and help shape how our brand looks, feels, and connects with audiences. You’ll play a key role in defining our visual language through design — crafting impactful, on-brand visual identities that bring our stories, products, and campaigns to life across digital, social, and experiential platforms. This is a role for a creative thinker who combines design sensitivity with strong technical skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and consistently contributes to high-quality design work across our brand.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.
What you’ll do:
- The PokerStars brand and visual identity is one of our greatest assets. As we enter a new phase focused on optimisation — creating work that not only looks exceptional but drives measurable business impact — we’re looking for a Midweight Designer to join a driven Design Team. This team shapes how the brand shows up globally, with a particular focus on propositions, live events and acquisition campaigns.
- As we strengthen our regional marketing approach, this role will also play a part in defining how the brand flexes locally — establishing what remains consistent and where there’s room to adapt to resonate with different audiences.
- Support the development of new visuals as appropriate for cross vertical campaigns with a focus on acquisition, online tournaments/propositions.
- Contribute to the creation and rollout of design toolkits, working closely with brand and regional marketing teams.
- Work with the senior members of the Design Team to identify opportunities to optimise our visual identity to drive greater impact and design cohesion.
- Collaborate closely with the studio to ensure design work is scalable and adaptable across multi-channel outputs.
- Partner with the wider Content & Creative team to support the integration of our visual identity and storytelling.
- Apply good judgement in understanding when bespoke design is required versus working within existing systems.
- Work alongside UX/UI teams to ensure alignment with product best practices.
- Act as a reliable contributor within project teams, supporting delivery across brand and studio.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and take on feedback constructively.
- Interpret briefs clearly and contribute ideas that elevate creative output.
What you’ll bring:
- Solid design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality work across a range of styles and formats.
- Good understanding of core design principles, with the ability to apply them effectively across projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, with excellent typographic skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and taking direction where needed.
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Experience in betting or gaming is advantageous but not essential.
- Awareness of multiple creative disciplines (animation, 3D, illustration, type, video) is a bonus — while we have specialist teams, your insights will help drive collaborative projects.
- Experience supporting or collaborating with other designers is beneficial.
Why choose us:
- Aside from a generous base salary, we have a fantastic benefits & rewards program that is designed to encourage personal and career development.
- Discretionary annual performance bonus.
- 30 days paid leave.
- Private healthcare.
- Personal life assurance and income protection.
- The option to join our company pension scheme.
- External learning support of up to £2,000 or equivalent in local currency, dedicated 4 learning “Power Hours” every month during office time, full access to the Udemy and Mindtools platforms, in-house leadership program and many other training opportunities for developing your skills and progressing your career.
- 26 weeks primary carer leave at 100% pay & 4 weeks secondary carer leave pay at 100% pay.
- Access to an on-site gym.
- Social events; including our sensational summer and Christmas parties.
- Online Discount Scheme, including discounted shopping and cinema vouchers.
