Your Team: Reporting to the Marketing Category Manager, the Procurement Category Manager will lead the sourcing and negotiation of all marketing-related services and goods across the UKI brands portfolio. The role encompasses optimizing £450M third-party marketing spend (including digital, media, Martech, creative, production, sponsorship and talent) and delivering savings, value, compliance, while ensuring alignment with business strategies in the fast-paced gaming and sport betting sector.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement category plan to deliver against agreed savings targets and achieve the best value, cost reductions, quality improvements, and supplier innovation.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing event (RFQs, RFPs, negotiations).
- Take ownership of the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing strategy development to contract execution.
- Analyse spend data, market trends, and supplier performance within the marketing realm to advise strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, legal, brands, marketing operations).
- Track and report cost savings.
- Continually challenge operational requirements and supplier spend, identifying and critiquing cost throughout the supply base.
- Act as a creative business partner to deliver innovative supplier solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience in marketing procurement/sourcing/category management.
- Experience within a gaming, entertainment, or similar fast-growth, brand-driven sector is desirable.
- Experience leading sourcing projects.
- Delivering hard and soft cost savings, add value and innovation.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent client/partner management and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter who can lead multiple projects simultaneously and strive to complete optimally.
- Demonstrate positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work with minimal direction but engage optimally with a wider team.
- Proficiency with procurement and contract management systems.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks and contract law.
