This role is central to redefining how millions of customers will experience football betting on our core apps through proven winners in our innovation app. You’ll lead the strategy for app excellence, leveraging cutting‑edge platform capabilities, personalisation, and AI to drive growth, engagement, and long‑term value. You will be accountable for the commercial performance of the app experience, partnering closely with marketing, finance, engineering, design, and data to deliver a product that is loved by customers and drives meaningful business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end strategy for the sports betting experience within the app.
- Define a bold, customer‑led roadmap that balances innovation, app usability, personalisation, and business impact.
- Champion a high-quality, frictionless, and engaging app experience.
- Use financial, behavioural, and market data to make informed prioritisation decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams to model value, forecast impact, and optimise performance KPIs such as actives, conversion, retention, and margin.
- Ensure decisions ladder up to both customer value and business value.
- Work with brand and performance marketing to align product strategy with campaign moments, acquisition goals, and lifecycle strategies.
- Drive app adoption, cross‑sell, and engagement through coordinated product + marketing initiatives.
- Bring customer insights from research and behavioural data back into both product and marketing strategies.
- Lead discovery to validate opportunities using experiments, prototypes, user testing, and data.
- Translate insights into delivery‑ready requirements and partner with engineering for smooth execution.
- Own the product backlog and ensure the team focuses on the highest‑leverage problems.
- Champion rapid ideation through hackathons, design sprints, and experimentation frameworks.
- Connect innovation work directly to commercial and customer outcomes.
How You’ll Do It
- Demonstrate strong product leadership with the ability to influence across engineering, design, commercial, finance, and marketing.
- Operate confidently in ambiguity and navigate complex organisational landscapes.
- Combine commercial thinking, customer obsession, and technical fluency to make smart, strategic decisions.
- Use storytelling and structured communication to bring people with you – from senior stakeholders to delivery teams.
- Be deeply data‑driven, research‑led, and always tuned into the needs of football customers.
- Prior experience working on an app or mobile‑first product is strongly preferred.
- A passion for sports or football is a big advantage, though not essential.
