About Division / Function:
The Internal Audit (IA) function forms part of our central Flutter Functions Finance team. As a team with a group wide remit, we are uniquely positioned to provide independent and objective assurance and advisory services to the Board, Audit Committee, and Senior Stakeholders across the globe. Our team is made up of fun, enthusiastic and inquisitive people from diverse backgrounds and varying skillsets, including Finance, IT, Data Analytics, Regulatory & Compliance expertise amongst many other skills.
Role Summary
The Head of IT Audit is responsible for overseeing the auditing process of the organisation's information technology systems. The Head of IT Audit will be a key member of the Flutter Functions Internal Audit team, owning key relationships and providing technical leadership support to our regional and divisional Internal Audit leads.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and Implement Audit Plans: Create and execute comprehensive IT audit plans to assess the effectiveness and compliance of IT systems and controls.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor IT audit staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments and external auditors to facilitate integrated audits and ensure knowledge sharing across the IA team.
- Audit Reporting: Deliver and manage the team’s timely production of high quality concise audit issues, findings and audit reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on IT trends, developments, and regulatory changes to continuously improve audit practices.
What you’ll need:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex IT systems and identify potential risks and inefficiencies.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team of auditors.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present audit findings and recommendations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in audit processes and reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to develop practical solutions to complex IT issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Financial, Risk and / or Audit qualifications required. (Educated to degree level or equivalent).
- History of successfully leading IT Audit teams, including people development.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, data security, and IT controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of cyber security risk and global frameworks (NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001).
Measure of Success
- Develop a robust understanding of the business, its IT risk and auditable landscape and able to identify priority areas for assessment.
- Leading and develop a team of inquisitive auditors to deliver audit plans on time and to a high quality.
- Providing insightful and impactful reporting, both on individual audit level and to Executive stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
