In Fraud Operations, everything we do is centred around keeping our customers and business safe from fraudulent activity. We form part of the UK&I Risk Operations function, within Customer Operations. We respond to alerts of possible fraud and reports of fraud from customers, third parties and banks, investigating all instances of external fraud associated with our brands. The role of Fraud Operations Analyst is a vital part of our efforts to keep fraud costs to a minimum through professional and diligent assessment of risk. The Fraud Team consists of several teams spread across multiple locations, managing risk by being a proactive and intelligence-led unit. We also work closely with the Risk Nights Team to provide 24/7 coverage, along with many other stakeholders across the business for all things Fraud.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for safeguarding both the company and our customers from money laundering and fraudulent activity.
  • Discuss account activity directly with customers who have fallen victim to fraud.
  • Monitor transactions and activity across all Flutter channels to assess the risk of fraud and bonus abuse and use sound judgement to act when fraud is discovered to prevent further losses.
  • Act as a passionate subject matter expert in the field of fraud prevention and fraud response.
  • Professionally respond to internal referrals and provide suitable advice and guidance.
  • Work closely with other operational teams to identify areas of weakness and process improvement possibilities.

How you’ll do it:

  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail, with previous fraud experience desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to digest information and present findings in a clear and concise way.
  • Analytical view of data from multiple sources to make confident decisions.
  • Strong and positive team player with the adaptability to change and be agile to the constantly evolving nature of fraudulent activity.
  • Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Internal system knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and proactively manage your own workload, whilst meeting team performance expectations.
  • Shifts for this position will fall between the hours of 7am and 9pm (GMT), Monday – Sunday, working an average of 5 days out of 7.
  • Training may be office based from our Leeds office (approx. 3 weeks), followed by hybrid working (min 1 office day per week). Candidates must live in a commutable distance to the Leeds office.
