We’re looking for a Customer Due Diligence Analyst to join our CDD Team at Paddy Power, part of Flutter UK & Ireland. The Customer Due Diligence Team sits within our Risk Operations function, as part of the Customer Operations department. We interact with customers daily and collaborate across the business, including Customer Support, Key Account Management, Safer Gambling, Fraud, Retail and Compliance.
The team carry out and document detailed investigations and analysis of individual customer accounts to identify potential financial crime, counter terrorist financing, identify and prevent gambling harm and to ensure we remain aligned with regulatory obligations in the relevant jurisdictions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate as a point of escalation for the wider team and define outcome requirements for cases which present increased risk relating to affordability, safer gambling, social responsibility, fraud or money laundering.
- Review and sign off actions on customer due diligence reports, accurately assessing the risks of money laundering, terror financing, affordability and gambling harm against the relevance, validity and legitimacy of information and documentation gathered on customer accounts.
- Conduct in depth source of wealth, safer gambling and affordability interactions, involving detailed conversations with customers to understand their affordability and source of funds.
What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrate a logical and structured thought process to facilitate sound decision-making and justification for your risk assessments.
- Experience working with both customers and colleagues within a fast-paced environment, confidence in making decisions and ability to justify recommendations to management teams.
- Provide a great customer experience throughout the CDD & Affordability process, whilst ensuring that work is completed to a high standard and service level agreements are met for all cases.
- At least one year’s experience working within a Due Diligence or AML department and carry an ICA Specialist Certification in Money Laundering or Risk (or equivalent).
- Previous experience within the gambling industry/safer gambling would be advantageous.
Please ensure you are happy with and able to commit to the following before you apply:
- Shifts will fall between 8am and 8pm (UK time), Mon - Sun, (weekend operating times are 8am - 5pm UK time). Working 5 out of 7 days, including working at peak events and some bank holidays. Candidates must be fully flexible between these operating times.
- Must be located within commutable distance to the office to accommodate approx. 6 weeks of training, some of which will take place in our Leeds/Malta office. We cannot approve any holiday during the training period.
