Finance Lead – Treasury Financial ReportingLocation: London/Dublin (Hybrid – 2 days per week in Dublin only). Permanent role. Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal.

About The RoleReporting to the Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting, the Finance Lead – Treasury Financial Reporting oversees financial instruments under US GAAP and IFRS, including hedge accounting. This role manages all treasury financial instrument reporting and controls, including derivatives, hedge accounting, funding, and external financial reporting. Lead routine activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and an efficient control framework.

Support the Group Treasurer, Group Director Tax, and Director of External Reporting & Technical Accounting by advising on treasury accounting, financial reporting, and controlling activities, assisting with funding and restructuring efforts, and formulating debt servicing strategies and policies, including transfer pricing considerations.

Lead all accounting matters associated with the Group\’s financing activities, overseeing technical accounting issues such as hedge accounting and debt issuance (Term Loan A, Term Loan B, and Senior Notes issued under rule 144A).

Build in‐house financial tools for a robust finance function and collaborate with other departments.

Lead change activities for treasury accounting, advance risk identification and develop mitigation plans promptly.

Supervise the preparation and assessment of all financial reports related to treasury, including month‐end closures, quarterly and yearly reporting, and regulatory submissions on derivatives, hedge accounting, internal and external debt, and financing cash flows.

Support the Deputy Group Treasurer with budgeting of interest expense and income.

Support the Tax advisory team in understanding the accounting for financing transactions to facilitate transfer pricing of internal loans.

Provide analysis of budget versus actual treasury activities to senior management.

li>Collaborate with an external service provider to ensure accurate record‐keeping and booking of Dutch special purpose financing entities.Supervise the hedge accounting process, guaranteeing adherence to US GAAP and reporting standards.

Partner with external contractor(s) to secure accurate and timely valuations and reporting.

Develop and uphold a strong control structure for treasury financial reporting, ensuring SOX compliance and other regulations, address control gaps, and manage treasury systems and their control environments.

Streamline Treasury Finance operations through process improvement, role clarity, and better inter‐team communication.

Lead reporting on projects impacting treasury activities & SOX controls, including tax restructurings, new treasury instruments, group transactions, and tech/process changes.

Develop and maintain treasury reporting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Develop and nurture connections with essential collaborators in Group Finance and Global Finance.

Support the Director of External Reporting & Technical Accounting as needed, with functional or other senior Flutter collaborators on matters related to strategic.

Lead a small treasury financial reporting team, offering support and training and evaluating growth needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualified Accountant with 7–10+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a multinational / plc environment or a Big‐4 accounting firm.

Expertise in IFRS and US GAAP.

Strong financial accounting experience with a solid understanding of current and relevant technical accounting issues.

Demonstrated history crafting robust internal control structures (SOX or similar).

Proven team leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively with high‐level stakeholders.

Strong financial systems experience – Oracle Financials would be an advantage.

Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and organise.

Curious, creative, and able to think laterally and non‐linearly.
