What is the role?

In recognition of the significant scaling of Flutter globally; we are creating a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion and Wellbeing across Flutter Functions and UKI division. This newly created Associate Director of Inclusion and Wellbeing will report into the Director of Learning and Inclusion across Flutter Functions and UKI division. The role will be a strategic partner to both Global, Flutter Functions and UKI CPOs and their People Leadership Teams to create an Inclusion and Wellbeing strategy to support our ambition to attract, develop and retain the very best talent. Ensuring everyone is welcome and that every voice matters.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and delivery of our Global Inclusion approach, philosophy, and roadmap; to make a tangible difference on this critical agenda across Flutter Functions and UKI division. The role will create and establish an insightful approach that ensures Flutter Functions and UKI collectively deliver on the goals outlined in Flutter’s Positive Impact Plan, whilst tailoring the plans to reflect the differing challenges and opportunities facing each area.

The role will partner with Flutter Functions and UKI leadership teams on all matters related to inclusion and wellbeing and belonging providing subject matter expertise, thought leadership and pragmatic advice. The role will also be responsible for directly delivering and driving tangible outcomes as well as collaborating with Inclusion peers across Flutter to create alignment as appropriate.

The successfully appointed Associate Director of Inclusion and wellbeing will be a passionate Inclusion leader with a consistent record of creating a culture of shared ownership and devolved accountability that ensures successful Inclusion outcomes are felt and owned by leaders across the business. The Leadership Team’s will be key stakeholders for this role, and therefore the ability to demonstrate credibility and influence at a senior level will also be key.

Responsibilities

  • You will have full accountability to develop and implement global Inclusion principals and develop Inclusion and wellbeing strategy that aligns to local requirements.
  • You will be accountable to translate vision into measurable programmes that resonate across diverse business areas.
  • As a team leader you will need to lead, coach and develop a skilled and passionate team to deliver impactful initiatives and culture.
  • You will lead and nurture positive relationships across the global Inclusion network.
  • You will work collaboratively with the Flutter Function’s and UKI People Team to ensure that Inclusion is a key consideration in all aspects of the colleague life cycle and in the key moments that matter.
  • You will partner with key stakeholders on all matters linked to diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging providing pragmatic and experienced advice.
  • You will tailor the strategy to consider the diverse types of challenges & opportunities faced within each of the Group Functions, as well as identifying the opportunities to align and collaborate to drive scale, efficiencies, and maximum impact as appropriate.
  • You will lead on ensuring the Group Functions, individually and collectively, deliver on the goals outlined in our Positive Impact Plan.
  • You will collaborate with the wider People Team and Functions to assess and re-shape practices or processes that no longer drive equitable outcomes, helping to build them back up with INCLUSION intrinsically built into them.
  • You will leverage data to make sure that we are always bringing the same level of informed decision making to our diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging approaches by creating metrics, measures and clear outcomes that help measure progress and drive accountability.
  • You will drive a culture focused on listening, learning, and acting so that we understand the experiences that distinct groups of people have at work and put plans in place to close experience gaps.
  • You will drive a culture of shared ownership & devolved accountability to ensure successful delivery against our Inclusion strategy is felt and owned by the leaders across Flutter.
  • You will scope, proposed, develop, and deliver ambitious programmes that help us meet our longer-term aspiration and ambition.
  • You will collaborate closely with our People Team to strengthen its capability and understanding of, inclusion & belonging.
  • You will work to embed inclusion & belonging beyond People team and seek out opportunity to ensure its weaved through all our working practices, including our partners.
  • You will have accountability for the budget and will work to ensure that spend is targeted, smart and pointed to clear strategic outcomes.
  • You will be responsible for managing the Executive and Board engagement and reporting. This will include compliance reporting and other ad hoc reporting.

Experience

  • Shown Inclusion practitioner with expertise and experience of working within an Inclusion leadership role to deliver thought leadership and wide-reaching change through both the effective implementation of programmes and initiatives and through direct influencing of LTs, leaders and colleagues.
  • Brings a thorough understanding and awareness of the Inclusion landscape, trends, frameworks, evidence and data-based practices and approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace and lead change; experience in driving, implementing, and maturing an Inclusion philosophy and agenda underpinned by clear frameworks and change management plans to scale more broadly.
  • Consistent track record partnering and influencing Leadership Teams and their functions in a fast-paced, constantly evolving business environment; tailoring delivery of Inclusion strategies accordingly.
