We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support the organisation of nursery routines, including arrival, departure, and transition times.
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour, manners, and respect among children.
- Assist with the organisation of nursery events and outings in accordance with health and safety policies.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes by sharing innovative ideas and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative independently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children when necessary.
- Passionate about child development with a caring, patient demeanour.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
