We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support the organisation of nursery routines, including arrival, departure, and transition times.
  • Lead by example in promoting good behaviour, manners, and respect among children.
  • Assist with the organisation of nursery events and outings in accordance with health and safety policies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes by sharing innovative ideas and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative independently.
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children when necessary.
  • Passionate about child development with a caring, patient demeanour.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
