Our facility operations and maintenance team is looking for a Configuration Management Specialist to join us in support of a classified facility. The selected applicant will join an established team of service technicians and will assume responsibility for control of all documentation updates required in the execution of the team’s work activities.

Basic Job Requirements:
  • Track infrastructure configuration of building power panels
  • Modify databases to reflect changes in the infrastructure system
  • Audit and verify assets by comparing physical items to documentation and correcting any noted discrepancies
  • Input electrical readings and preventative maintenance information into databases
  • Provide administrative guidance and support to ensure efficient office operations for a team of electricians and other trades
  • Generate documents and reports, maintaining physical and digital filing systems
  • Manage help-desk ticketing on behalf of technicians
  • Manage material requisition process on behalf of technicians
  • Monitor availability of bench stock items, ensuring optimum levels of consumable items
  • Manage the equipment calibration program on behalf of technicians
  • Manage access request process on behalf of technicians
  • Assist in non-technical tasks such as cable laying, moving equipment and racks
  • Act as safety person providing emergency cover to electricians during maintenance and installation work
  • Provide first aid cover in higher risk areas
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
Other Job Requirements:
  • Attend to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Recommend modifications to existing procedures, systems and methods of operation
  • Work effectively as part of a multifunctional facilities team
  • Assist technicians with general administrative matters
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient in the use of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Suite)
  • Strong command of verbal and written communication
  • Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
  • Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with equipment configuration management
  • Experience with managing maintenance work ticketing
  • Experience with electrical and other infrastructure maintenance management
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
