This role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility and includes responsibilities in electrical and cabling installations within computer room environments.
Responsibilities
- Installation of communications components, cabling infrastructures, and other construction trades as needed.
- Install, remove, terminate, and test electrical cables related to computer room raised-floor equipment.
- Perform general electrical maintenance, installation-related duties, and determine proper cable routing/termination; install connections.
- Install cable trays and branch circuits in raised-floor environments; install conduits/cables for general site-related electrical applications.
- Perform a variety of electrical trade functions including installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the distribution or utilization of electric energy.
- Work from schematics, blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems; perform load calculations and use electrician tools and testing instruments.
- Participate in design reviews; complete required work and safety permits; perform small job take-offs; coordinate the teamβs participation in site maintenance events; participate in customer meetings; provide customer guidance on site installation requirements; other duties as assigned.
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four-year degree or equivalent in the applicable field and five years of related experience, or nine years of combined education and related experience if non-degreed; certain locations may have additional requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Other Job Requirements
- Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
- Must hold a U.S. Electrical License issued by a state. Please identify license level (Journeyman or Master), issuing state, license number, and expiration on resume or documents.
- U.S. citizen required.
- Work may occur in various environmental conditions including project sites and client facilities with potential hazards and extreme conditions.
- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (email, internet, Microsoft Office). Some positions may require higher computer proficiency depending on duties.
