Key Responsibilities:
- Review OEM/vendor tool installation drawings, specifications, and P&IDs; identify constraints affecting installation and utility routing.
- Review piped utility requirements, chemical compatibility, and hazard classifications for process connections.
- Tabulate loads and sizing calculations for piping, ductwork, and electrical connections.
- Coordinate primary M&E design with OEMs and EPCMs; support clash detection and BIM/Revit model updates for tool and utility connections.
- Support constructability and value-engineering reviews of layout, access, and temporary works for equipment installation.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Designing utility tie-ins (piping, HVAC/exhaust, or electrical) for process/manufacturing equipment in a regulated or high-spec environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit/Plant 3D or AutoPIPE/Pipe-Flo (mechanical) or electrical design + conduit/cable tray routing tools (electrical).
- PE license or equivalent chartered status preferred for senior-level hires; not required for Engineer I/II grades.
