The Project Engineer on the Global Service Growth Team (GSGT) is responsible for developing, standardizing, and optimizing mechanical, electrical, and automated processes to enable world‑class performance in global service operations. This hybrid role blends hands‑on mechanical and electrical engineering expertise with process design, automation, metrology integration, and FBS methodologies. The engineer partners closely with global service sites, metrology, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, IT, and quality teams to deliver scalable tools, fixtures, test systems, and workflows that improve throughput, repeatability, and service reliability. The position requires up to 50% global travel to support deployments, capability transfers, equipment commissioning, and on‑site training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize mechanical and electrical tools, fixtures, jigs, test systems, and service equipment.
  • Develop and refine electrical, functional, and automated test methods.
  • Create and maintain standardized work.
  • Evaluate existing processes for improvements.
  • Conduct time studies, capability studies, MMV, gage R&R.
  • Analyze workflows to identify improvements.
  • Ensure alignment of mechanical processes and test requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to metrology best practices.
  • Partner with Metrology teams for validation.
  • Evaluate and implement automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate to integrate processes into digital systems.
  • Optimize automated sequences.
  • Coach teams on FBS.
  • Lead kaizen events.
  • Work with various engineering teams.
  • Support system‑level improvements.
  • Travel globally to support deployments.
  • Ensure sites are fully enabled.
  • Support procurement and readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in CAD and test/automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of metrology.
