We are seeking a motivated and handsâon Apprentice to join our team at the Fluke manufacturing facility in Norwich. This entryâlevel role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in facilities management, engineering support, or site operations. Working alongside the EMEA Facilities & HSE Manager and wider site team, you will help maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment for all colleagues. This is a development-focused role with structured training, mentorship, and exposure to real-world facilities operations in a high-performing manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of external contractors carrying out maintenance, repairs, and site services.
- Assist with facilities administration tasks, including purchase orders, invoices, and documentation control.
- Help manage staff ID badges, access fobs, and visitor passes in line with security procedures.
- Participate in routine site inspections, daily walkdowns, and general upkeep activities.
- Assist in weekly fire alarm testing and support fire safety activities under supervision.
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and asset recordkeeping.
- Help monitor and maintain site equipment, tools, and workshop areas.
- Contribute to health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the site.
- Provide hands-on support to facilities projects such as refurbishments, office moves, or equipment installations.
- Other duties as assigned to support the wider Facilities function.
Qualifications / Skills
- Interest in facilities management, engineering, or building services (no previous experience required).
- Hands-on, practical mindset with willingness to learn new skills.
- Good organisational and administrative abilities.
- Basic understanding of workplace health & safety (training will be provided).
- Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instruction.
- Good problemâsolving approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
- Competent with basic IT tools (email, spreadsheets, digital forms).
- Full training will be provided; previous technical or trade experience is a bonus but not essential.
