Our client is an established premium Wine business delivering an exceptional range of international wines to the UK market. Due to continued growth, they require a National Sales Account Manager to drive sales across key accounts and groups in the On Trade.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of existing national on-trade accounts while identifying and winning new business across hotel and pub groups/chains in the UK. You’ll work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Operations (Supply chain and logistics and customer service) and externally with senior stakeholders in national and regional pub, hotel and restaurant groups.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management & Customer Development
- Manage and grow revenue across existing national on-trade customers (pub and hotel groups).
- Build strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers across accounts.
- Lead promotional planning and execution in line with customer calendars and brand objectives.
- Deliver excellent service levels with internal coordination (supply, ops, marketing).
- Identify and target new national and large regional on-trade opportunities.
- Build and deliver tailored commercial proposals and pricing models.
- Drive long-term business partnerships with national pub chains, hotels, and hospitality groups.
- Own sales forecasting and budget planning for key accounts.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with key customers.
- Use data insights to refine strategy and identify opportunities or risks.
- Lead negotiations with group buyers and procurement teams.
- Secure listings, promotional agreements, and trading terms in line with commercial goals.
- Maximise margin while delivering customer value and volume growth.
- 3–5+ years’ experience managing national or large regional accounts in the on-trade.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L ownership, margin management, and negotiation.
- Proven success in new business development and customer relationship management.
- Ability to forecast accurately and work with CRM systems and reporting tools.
- Confident communicator with ability to influence at a senior level (both internally and externally).
- Strong presentation and proposal-building skills.
- Passion for wine and hospitality – WSET qualification (or willingness to obtain) desirable.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
