Our client is an established Italian Wine Business, boasting a tremendous portfolio of high-quality wines. As part of the strategic growth plan, they require a Wine Sales Representative for the region comprising Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and the western side of the M4 Corridor.
Each Wine Sales Executive is assigned responsibility for the sales, distribution, and promotion of a selection of premium and prestige wine brands within a pre-designated territory.
The customer base will typically consist of independent On Trade venues (premium bars, restaurants, cafes, hotels etc…) including small regional groups and local wholesalers. As a Sales Executive, you will operate on behalf of the company with an emphasis on developing new business while building and actively maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Candidates for these opportunities can come from a range of food and beverage backgrounds but must have a strong passion for wine. We welcome candidates with sales backgrounds as Wine Agents, Sommeliers, Wine Sales professionals, Food & Beverage Consultants, Wine traders/buyers, F&B buyers, hospitality professionals or passionate salespeople with a keen interest in wine. Existing Wine Agents who already work with other wine portfolios but wish to add more products to their range are also welcome.
Skills and experience requirements:
- A self-starter with a true passion for wine and the drive to forge your success in the vibrant world of On Trade Wine
- Knowledge of the Wine category with the ability to identify, recommend and secure the best listings for individual venues/groups and the ability to provide customer training and tastings as required.
- Good knowledge of the assigned geographical territory and potential On Trade customer base (hotels, restaurants, bars and other leisure outlets)
- Proactive, passionate and results-driven.
- Commercially astute with solid negotiation skills and the aptitude to maximise own and company business opportunities.
- Strong and collaborative communicator, highly organised and numerate.
- Ideally educated to degree level
Please note: This opportunity is a contract role and is remunerated via a yearly retainer and generous commission structure and can be worked on a full or part-time basis, this can be perfect for drinks sales candidates who operate already on a freelance basis, are looking for flexible working or already sell other alcohol products to the trade.
