An established and internationally operating fine wine business is seeking an experienced Senior Wine Trader to manage and grow sales of an exceptional wine portfolio across existing accounts while strategically developing new business opportunities across merchants, wholesale, and private clients.
This is a predominantly field-based role, ideally suited to a commercially driven sales professional with a strong wine and spirits network in London and the wider UK market. Whether your expertise lies in selling fine wine to trade customers, brokerage, or private clients, you will drive commercial ownership of your accounts, covering sales growth, forecasting, and long-term relationship management.

- Account Management & Customer Development
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify, target, and secure new national, regional, and private client accounts
- Develop long-term commercial partnerships with key customers
- Own sales forecasting and budget planning for key accounts
- Use data and insights to identify opportunities and manage risk
- Secure listings, promotional activity, and trading terms aligned to commercial objectives
- Provide regular performance updates and commercial insights to senior leadership
3–5+ years’ experience selling wine and/or spirits to trade and/or private clients in the UK. International fine wine sales exposure is welcomed.
A proactive sales mindset with proven success in new business development and account management.
Strong commercial acumen, including margin management, forecasting, and negotiation.
Confident, self-motivated sales professional comfortable running their own business within a fast-paced international business.
Strong trade sales mindset with a track record of driving commercial results.
Strong presentation and proposal-building capability.
Passion for wine and hospitality preferred.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
