The Opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Growth & Business Unit Lead (Early-Stage) to help shape and execute the next chapter. This is a senior, hands-on role with meaningful ownership, combining growth execution, go-to-market development, and commercial leadership. You will act as the connective tissue between marketing, product, sales, and engineering, operating with a high-ownership mindset and growing into broader leadership responsibility as the business scales. This role is based within a very small team. Structured training, hands-on support, and access to shared group resources will be provided, and the role may initially be embedded within another business to provide additional structure and mentorship. As the business grows, the scope, responsibility, and impact of the role will grow with it. This role is ideal for a SaaS growth leader who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building systems from first principles, and wants a clear path toward increased ownership over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Business & Commercial Ownership
- Own responsibility for growth performance and commercial outcomes, operating within agreed budgets and with support from senior leadership.
- Build and execute a milestone-based growth plan aligned with ARR expansion goals.
- Operate with increasing autonomy while leveraging shared infrastructure, capital, and expertise from the broader group.
- Go-To-Market & Growth Leadership
- Design and execute early-stage GTM initiatives, including positioning, ICP definition, pricing, packaging, and channel strategy, in collaboration with experienced operators across the group.
- Establish and refine the initial sales motion, working closely with sales leadership and directly with customers.
- Lead growth initiatives across demand generation, lifecycle marketing, conversion optimisation, and expansion.
- Support the commercial development of early product verticals or use cases as the business evolves.
- Product & Technical Collaboration
- Act as the primary bridge between product, engineering, marketing, and sales.
- Partner closely with technical leaders to ensure a strong developer experience, including APIs, integrations, documentation, onboarding, and reliability.
- Bring market and customer insight directly into product strategy and roadmap prioritisation.
- Team & Culture
- Work hands-on within a small, fast-moving team across growth, marketing, and commercial functions.
- Lead and develop a small team as the business scales and headcount grows.
- Set the tone for execution, accountability, and customer-centric decision-making within the business unit.
What You Bring
- Significant experience in B2B SaaS growth, with exposure across marketing, sales, and product.
- Experience contributing to the growth or scaling of a SaaS business, product line, or growth function; ideally in an AI, data, or developer-facing product.
- Strong exposure to product management or a track record of working closely with product and engineering teams.
- Experience supporting early-stage or 0→1 GTM motions and helping optimise them for growth.
- Commercial understanding across pricing, packaging, funnels, and customer acquisition.
- A high-ownership mindset: resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable operating in an early-stage environment with evolving structure.
- Excellent communication skills, able to move fluidly between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience mentoring others or taking on informal leadership responsibility.
What You’ll Own
- Delivery against agreed growth and revenue outcomes.
- Execution of GTM initiatives across marketing, sales alignment, and product-led growth.
- Contribution to product-market fit evolution and early commercial scaling across use cases.
- Increasing ownership of team performance, culture, and execution quality as the business grows.
This role offers a rare opportunity to join an AI SaaS business at an early stage, with meaningful responsibility, strong support, and a clear path to broader leadership as the company grows.
