A day in the life:
As part of the Finance team, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of daily sales and purchase data in NetSuite, maintain media commercial terms, and reconcile revenue and cost of sales across systems. You will support the maintenance of the group cashflow file and assist with month-end processes for Fluent Mortgages Horwich and Fluent Lifetime, helping to provide clear and reliable financial reporting for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date media matrixes holding lead providers' commercial terms, ensuring they accurately reflect agreed contracts and changes.
- Process and log broker amendments to media payable as requested ensuring appropriate evidence/approval is retained and updates are reflected on the media reconciliations.
- Import daily CSV files for sales invoices, purchase invoices & credit notes.
- Reconcile Revenue and Cost of Sales between Fluency and NetSuite on a regular basis.
- Identify, categorise and document reconciling items where applicable.
- Correct reconciling items where possible within own authority and elevate more complex items to the Finance Manager.
- Update the cashflow file with bank statement imports and mapping updates for relevant bank accounts.
- Ensure the cashflow summary reconciles to the bank statements (e.g. opening and closing balances).
- Investigate and resolve mismatches between the cashflow file and the bank statements.
- Prepare and send out daily bank balance summaries internally.
- Preparing and posting journals (e.g. accruals, prepayments, revenue and cost of sales as applicable).
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, ensuring they reconcile to the trial balance and are fully supported.
- Preparing P&L and balance sheet schedules for these entities to support review by the Month-End lead and Finance Manager.
- Ensure all month-end tasks are completed within the agreed timetable.
