We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner (EMEA) to join us on a fixed-term contract through September 1, 2026. Reporting to our Australia-based VP of People & Culture, you will be the "boots on the ground" lead for our UK and French teams. This is a truly hybrid role, work remotely from the UK, with the opportunity to spend time with our team in the Paris office. You’ll be a strategic partner to our EMEA leaders. In our flat structure, you’ll have high visibility and immediate impact, acting as a coach, culture carrier, and change agent.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to EMEA leaders, aligning people priorities with business goals and providing thought leadership on organisational design.
- Regional Compliance & Alignment: Harmonise our People & Culture practices across EMEA to ensure equity and compliance, acting as the bridge that connects our global strategy with local execution while maintaining our unique global culture.
- The Employee Lifecycle: Lead key programs including performance calibrations, compensation reviews, talent development, and engagement focus groups.
- Regional Point of Contact: Support the Payroll Manager on escalated EMEA matters and lead internal communications to keep our regional teams connected and motivated.
- DEIB Champion: Drive inclusion efforts and events, ensuring Fluent remains a diverse and equitable place to work.
Who You Are
- The EMEA Expert: You have a solid grasp of UK and French labor laws and understand the nuances of managing teams across different European jurisdictions.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Full proficiency in English and ideally in French.
- Strong knowledge of United Kingdom and French labor law.
- Experience and proven results in a Business Partner role, creating measurable impact on a major business unit in a high-growth technology company across EMEA.
- 8+ years experience preferably supporting higher level leaders.
- Experience dealing directly with Work Councils and Performance Management processes.
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualifications (UK candidates).
- Excited and passionate about making an impact and tackling business challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills moving regularly between the tactical and strategic priorities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and balance collaboration and communication with multiple stakeholders across various departments and functions.
- Ability to act with integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
- Ability to work autonomously and make timely, effective, people-first decisions.
