The Director, Strategic Projects is a key thought leader within Fluence’s sales & marketing organization, responsible for identifying, analyzing, and executing high-impact initiatives that accelerate Fluence’s commercial evolution. This role is focused on developing new commercial offerings, exploring new market opportunities, and supporting investment decisions through rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis. The Director will manage cross-functional projects, drive strategic proposals, and ensure measurable outcomes aligned with Fluence’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a diverse portfolio of strategic projects, acting as an internal consultant across commercial, financial, and operational domains.
- Lead the identification and design of new commercial offerings and market entry opportunities in the battery storage solutions market.
- Develop and pilot innovative business models and go-to-market strategies tailored to emerging market needs.
- Structure and evaluate external partnerships with financial institutions, insurers, and strategic partners to enable scalable growth.
- Conduct detailed investment analysis, including financial modeling and electricity market analysis, to support strategic proposals and business cases.
- Develop frameworks for evaluating project economics, risk, and compliance.
- Prepare and present investment cases and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with teams across sales, finance, marketing, legal, product, and supply chain to drive integrated decision-making and execution.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
