Overview
In this role, you will provide on-the-ground HR support across WA operations, partnering with leaders to drive effective people practices. You’ll balance senior advisory and HR business partnering, focusing on employee relations, investigations, performance and coaching. You will be the Perth contact within a global People Experience network and influence workforce planning, change initiatives and leadership development. This role offers hands-on impact in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and a clear opportunity to shape the employee experience.

Responsibilities
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including grievances, complaints, misconduct and investigations
- Lead and support workplace investigations with fairness and proper documentation
- Guide performance improvement processes and advise managers on performance and conduct
- Facilitate mediation, conflict resolution and support leaders in difficult workplace situations
- Coach managers to strengthen people management capability
- Partner with approximately six key Australian leaders through regular HR support
- Support workforce and succession planning and organizational change initiatives
- Provide commercially sound advice balancing employee, business and legislative needs
- Facilitate leadership development and workshops on communication, workplace behaviour, discrimination, harassment and bullying
- Own the graduate program, enhancing participant experience and talent development
- Collaborate with specialist teams across People Experience, Remuneration & Benefits, Learning & Development, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Strategic HR BPs
- Build relationships across a complex global matrix and work with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones
Key requirements
- Senior HR experience as HR Advisor, People Partner or HRBP
- Expertise in handling complex employee relations and industrial workplace matters
- Extensive experience conducting workplace investigations
- Strong knowledge of performance management and end-to-end PIP processes
- Experience managing grievances, complaints, misconduct and sensitive matters
- Mediation, conflict resolution and coaching capability
- Experience supporting blue- and white-collar workforces in operational environments (mining/resources/engineering/manufacturing/field services)
- Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
- Ability to provide credible, practical advice to senior leaders
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills for workshops or learning programs
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with regional and global HR teams
