We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our vibrant and growing team in London. The role will include legal research and drafting of documents, as well as the normal file and document management work for a Paralegal position. You will be assisting our engaged lawyers and partners and working with industry-leading clients on a number of disputes across our key sectors. You should have excellent academic credentials and a keen interest in international trade.
FZ is an international law firm with a global client base and offices spread across the UK, the US and Australia. We are a tight-knit team. We specialise in solving the biggest and most complex issues in the world of international trade. Our London team collaborates closely with our international offices and clients. Client secondment opportunities arise regularly at the firm. We have a growing team of exceptional lawyers with a variety of backgrounds and education. We all genuinely enjoy the work we do and work collaboratively in small teams. We are based on High Holborn, near Holborn station. The office is a great space to work closely with the team (and to enjoy lunches and post-work drinks). We do not insist on full time “in office” work, but we do encourage people to be in regularly to work closely with one another. We will not consider remote only applicants.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role.
- A genuine interest in law and the legal principles at the heart of any dispute or drafting request.
- A strong interest in international trade, commodities and maritime disputes (although legal experience in these fields is not necessary, it is helpful).
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent academics, with at least a 2:1 or equivalent from a top university.
