Thorite, part of the Flowtech plc Group, is looking for a Business Development Manager to take ownership of a key South West territory, driving growth across industrial and manufacturing customers. This is a field-based role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road, building relationships, and winning new business in a competitive B2B environment.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for developing and executing a territory sales strategy, growing existing accounts, and securing new business across sectors including engineering and manufacturing. Working closely with technical and internal teams, you’ll deliver tailored solutions across:
- Compressed air systems
- Fluid power solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and manage key accounts across the region
- Build strong relationships with engineering, procurement, and maintenance stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order conversion
- Develop account plans, forecasts, and pipelines to deliver growth targets
- Deliver technical proposals and value-based solutions
- Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and technical teams
About You
- Proven experience in Business Development, Field Sales, or Technical Sales
- Strong track record of selling into industrial or manufacturing sectors
- Experience managing a territory and delivering revenue growth
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities
- Experience in fluid power, hydraulics, pneumatics, or compressed air, or an engineering background.
