Flowtech Fluidpower plc is looking for an exceptional Head of Project Delivery to join our expanding Global Major Projects Team, leading the successful delivery of complex MEICA projects across the UK and internationally. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in some of the UK's most exciting engineering programmes. Recent projects have included the Narrow Water Bridge, the landmark cross-border bridge connecting the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, alongside a growing portfolio of technically challenging infrastructure, water, industrial and energy projects.
Based from our modern Pontefract office, this hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from home whilst remaining closely connected to our collaborative project teams.
The Opportunity
- Lead the delivery of complex engineering and infrastructure projects from contract award through to completion.
- Manage and develop Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Drive programme performance, governance, resource planning and project controls.
- Ensure projects achieve outstanding safety, quality and commercial performance.
- Work closely with engineering, design, commercial and operational teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Shape the future of Flowtech's growing Major Projects business.
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded engineering leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering projects. You'll ideally have:
- Significant senior project delivery experience within MEICA, Water, Utilities, Infrastructure, Industrial or Energy sectors.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
- Project Management qualification (APM PMQ, PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner).
- Experience managing complex project portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience of NEC, FIDIC or similar contracts.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within bridges, moving structures, fluid power, hydraulics or complex mechanical infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
