Are you a graduate with some sales experience looking to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy building relationships, spotting opportunities and have an interest in engineering? Thorite, part of Flowtech plc, the UK's leading specialist in pneumatics, compressed air, vacuum and fluid power systems, is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to help grow our presence in the Leeds area.
The Role
This is an ideal role for someone who has completed a first sales role and is ready to take on more responsibility. You'll manage day-to-day business development, strengthen existing client relationships and generate new business opportunities across a diverse range of industries. Working closely with a regional manager and collaborating with internal sales, technical and procurement teams, you'll deliver solutions that meet customer needs and contribute to Thorite's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow accounts across your region achieving sales and profit targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and compressed air systems.
- Build strong lasting relationships with customer contacts including purchasing, maintenance and engineering teams.
- Prepare and present persuasive quotations, proposals and presentations.
- Take ownership of your sales pipeline ensuring timely follow-up and conversion of leads.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service and technical support.
About You
- Degree-educated (preferably Engineering, Technical or Business disciplines).
- Some prior sales or commercial experience looking to progress to the next level.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Organised, motivated and results-focused.
- Genuine interest in engineering and technical solutions.
- Full UK driving licence required.
