Business Development Executive Graduate with Sales Experience (Engineering Sector)

Location: Bristol area

The Role

  • Manage day‑to‑day business development activity, strengthen existing customer relationships and generate new opportunities across a variety of industries.
  • Working with a supportive regional manager and collaborating with internal sales, technical and procurement teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs while helping Thorite expand its market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop accounts across your region to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics and compressed air systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels including purchasing and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling quotations, proposals and presentations.
  • Take ownership of your sales pipeline ensuring timely follow‑up and conversion.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal colleagues to deliver exceptional service and technical support.

About You

  • Degree‑educated (Engineering, Technical or Business disciplines preferred).
  • Some prior experience in sales or a commercial role looking for the next step.
  • Confident professional and skilled at building relationships.
  • Driven, organised and results‑oriented.
  • Genuine interest in engineering and technical solutions.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
