Build something of your own with the backing of an established industry leader.
This isn't a traditional Branch Manager role.
We're opening a new Thorite branch in Skelmersdale and are looking for a commercially driven, technically credible sales professional to help build and grow it.
You'll have the opportunity to win new customers, grow sales, shape the local strategy and, as the branch develops, build and lead a team around you.
Think of it as the opportunity to run and grow your own business without the risk of starting one yourself.
You’ll have genuine autonomy, but you won’t be doing it alone.
As part of Thorite and the wider Flowtech Group, you’ll have the backing, support and expertise of an established engineering business behind you.
The Opportunity
Your focus will be on growing a successful and profitable branch.
You'll be responsible for
- Winning new business and developing the local customer base
- Managing and growing existing customer relationships
- Getting out to visit customers and identify opportunities
- Developing quotations and converting opportunities into sales
- Driving sales growth, margin and profitability
- Providing technical advice and solutions
- Helping shape the branch's sales and growth strategy
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the branch
- Recruiting and leading a team as the branch grows
Who are we looking for?
You don't necessarily need to be an existing Branch Manager.
You could be an experienced Technical Sales professional, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, External Sales Engineer or Branch Manager looking for more ownership and the opportunity to build something.
You'll ideally have experience within pneumatics, compressed air, fluid power or a related technical, engineering or industrial sales environment.
Most importantly, you'll be
- Commercially driven and comfortable winning new business
- Confident building relationships with engineering and industrial customers
- Technically credible and able to understand customer challenges
- Proactive, self-motivated and happy to get out and meet customers
- Excited by the opportunity to build and grow a business
- Ready to take ownership and potentially lead a team
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
Why Thorite?
- Company car
- Competitive salary
- Performance-related bonus and commission
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Genuine autonomy to build and shape a new branch
- Support from the wider Thorite and Flowtech Group
- The opportunity to build and lead your own team
- Long-term career development opportunities
This could be your branch.
If you’re successful in technical or industrial sales and ready for more ownership, more responsibility and the chance to build something you can genuinely call your own, we’d love to hear from you.
