The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with early sales experience to step into a role with greater responsibility. You’ll manage day-to-day business development activity, strengthen existing customer relationships, and generate new opportunities across a variety of industries. Working with a supportive regional manager and collaborating with internal sales, technical, and procurement teams, you’ll deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs while helping Thorite expand its market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop accounts across your region to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and compressed air systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels, including purchasing and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling quotations, proposals, and presentations.
  • Take ownership of your sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal colleagues to deliver exceptional service and technical support.

About You

  • Degree-educated (Engineering, Technical, or Business disciplines preferred).
  • Some prior experience in sales or a commercial role, looking for the next step.
  • Confident, professional, and skilled at building relationships.
  • Driven, organised, and results-oriented.
  • Genuine interest in engineering and technical solutions.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
