The Valve Business Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the valve product line within the company, leading a team of experienced individuals. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans, managing key customer relationships, managing valve related sales enquiries and preparing quotations to clients, where appropriate. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, technical expertise, and business acumen to lead market expansion and customer engagement efforts.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of sales and procurement professionals. Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team and customers. Work closely with other departments within the organisation: Quality Team, Sales Support, and Operations Teams. Conduct training sessions for sales teams and customers on valve applications and best practices.
- Sales & Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow the valve product line and increase market share. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base. Manage sales targets and budgets for valve products. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Work with the team to provide detailed bids to customers.
- Technical & Operational Support: Ensure product compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Work closely with Procurement and Quality teams to ensure product availability and performance. Address customer concerns and oversee troubleshooting efforts when needed.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- A track record of sales growth and business development in the valve industry.
- A sound knowledge in regards the marketplace for valve manufacturers and suppliers.
- Proven work experience in dealing and negotiating with customers.
