Our client is a well-established international company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of industrial machinery. They support their customers throughout the full lifecycle of their equipment, from installation to after-sales service.
With a strong and growing customer base in the UK—particularly around the Midlands—they are now looking to hire their first locally based Field Service Engineer.
You will be supported by an experienced service team based in Belgium, ensuring you are never on your own technically.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment at customer sites across the UK
- Installation, commissioning, and testing of industrial machinery
- Preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
- Providing excellent on-site customer support
- Reporting and documentation of service activities
- Close collaboration with the European service team
- Participation in training programs in Belgium and Germany (especially during onboarding phase)
The remaining 25%+ involves other bulk materials and powder processing environments (e.g. food and industrial production). What matters most is strong technical skills and a willingness to work in industrial environments.
This role involves working in heavy industrial settings, where exposure to dust and powder is part of the day-to-day environment—particularly in cement plants. The company ensures proper equipment, training, and safety standards are in place, and they are looking for candidates who are comfortable in this type of setting.
Ideally based in the centre of the UK or anywhere in England that allows for easy nationwide travel.
Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Comfortable working on-site and travelling regularly
- Fluency in English required
Competitive salary based on experience ~ Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate ~ Fully equipped company van (personal use allowed) ~ 25 days paid holiday ~ Pension scheme: ~ 6-month probation period ~ Structured onboarding and technical training in Belgium and Germany ~ Opportunity to join a growing international business with strong technical expertise.
This is a great opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys hands-on work, autonomy, and varied industrial environments, and who wants to be part of building a local presence within a well-established international company.
