We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for one of our manufacturing plants. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of CNC machines, test equipment, parts washers, and others. Emphasis will be placed on electrical repair aptitude, as the Maintenance Mechanic will need to effectively troubleshoot items such as servo drives and electrical switches.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, operate, install, and program panel views and HMI devices
  • Troubleshoot and repair valve testing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on ovens, blowers, and fans
  • Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts, test operations of assemblies
  • Layout, measure, size, bend and install electrical conduit
  • Troubleshoot and program AC/CD drives and motors
  • Effectively troubleshoot relay logic circuits – requires experience with gas train circuitry
  • Effectively troubleshoot, size, and install transformers
  • Effectively lay out, measure, thread, and install pipe
  • Troubleshoot and repair processed water system
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding equipment
  • Use precision measuring tools, voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of machining controls, troubleshooting, and programming skills
  • Troubleshoot ladder logic programs
  • Troubleshoot machine heating controls, i.e. controllers, heaters, molds and solid‑state relays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Technical training in electrical maintenance
  • Able to read blueprints and specifications
  • Hands‑on experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience diagnosing/repairing mechanical industrial equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, CNC etc.; includes use of precision measuring tools and testing equipment
  • Good understanding of electrical systems including 3 phase
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and pneumatic controls
  • Must be willing to learn new skills
  • Ability to determine material needs and specifications for projects
  • Creates detail bill of materials (BOMs) for projects
  • Experience operating machines
  • Background with PLC
  • Experience with machine heating controls
  • HS Diploma / GED and 5-7 years relevant experience
