This is a full-time, on-site Pump Engineer role based out of Bracknell/Maidenhead. The role is mobile and we serve mainly the London and Home Counties area. The Pump Engineer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pumps and associated equipment. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Diagnosing issues
- Conducting routine inspections
- Performing installations
- Providing technical solutions for pumping systems
The role requires close collaboration with colleagues to ensure safe and efficient project execution and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong technical and mechanical skills in pump maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with diagnosing equipment faults and performing repairs
- Not essential but preferable an understanding of electrical systems as they relate to pumping operations
- Familiarity with the water industry and experience working with pumping stations or water treatment systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative setting
- A commitment to health and safety standards and procedures
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in engineering, such as NVQs, or equivalent experience
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel to project sites as required
